A terrifying horror film banned in has gone viral on over a decade after its release.
Megan is Missing sparked concerns over its violent sexual content when it was first hit cinemas in 2011.
It was banned by the Office of Film & Literature Classification in New Zealand over its 'objectionable' nature in October that year.

The film was met with fierce criticism on its release and copped a ban in New Zealand due to its 'objectionable' nature 
'The feature depicts sexual violence and sexual conduct involving young people to such an extent and degree, and in such a manner, that the availability of the publication is likely to be injurious to the public good,' a spokesperson for the film board said. 
The film, which involves the mysterious disappearance of a 14-year-old girl after she meets up with a stranger online and a friend who tries to find her, has gone viral on TikTok as a new generation have discovered it.
Made with a budget of just $45,000, the movie was one of the first 'computer screen films', utilising web-chat recordings, home videos and news reports to tell the story of the missing girls. 
It has a 4.6 out of 10 rating on IMDb and users have have described it as 'one of the most unsettling films ever'.
Critic Zoe Rose Smith said on Rotten Tomatoes it was a 'distressing look at the realities behind vulnerability, the damaging effects of online grooming and the truth behind what happens to those unfortunate to become victims at the hands of pure evil'. 
Michael Goi, the director, was forced to release his own warnings about the film on the popular social media app in 2020 following its resurgence. 
'Do not watch the movie in the middle of the night,' he said. 
'Do not watch the movie alone'.

And if you see the words "photo number one" pop up on your screen, you have about four seconds to shut off the movie if you're already kind of freaking out before you start seeing things that maybe you don't want to see.' 
The film's director, Michael Goi (below) warned viewers not to watch it on their own at night after its recent resurgence in popularity
